SHOWREEL

the STORY SO FAR

I started out making tea and toast on Strictly Come Dancing.

Since then, a lot has changed.

I’ve made award-winning films for some of the world’s biggest companies.

I think of myself primarily an editor but I’ve spent much of the last ten years travelling the world directing, self-shooting and occasionally writing scripts and treatments.

I'm a qualified audio engineer and have a host of geeky knowledge about all things audio-visual that are often eleventh hour lifesavers in the trench of an edit suite.

I’m interested in meeting new people and working on fresh, exciting projects.

Let’s work together.

WORK

Much of my current work is for internal audiences and so subject to confidentiality agreements which must be respected.

I've included a few public-facing examples here to whet your appetite and there’s more to see on my Vimeo page.

"brand film"

central school of ballet

Brand Film/Promo - Editor

Producer: Emily Lingard | Director: Stewart Milton | DOP: David McDowall

There’s really nothing more rewarding to cut than beautiful motion, so my job was made easy thanks to the talented students at the Central School of Ballet. The fact that their interviews were recorded as audio only really helped put them at their ease, the sincerity of their responses comes through in a way that couldn’t possibly be scripted.

"SUSIE BUBBLE"

dr. martens

Branded Content - Editor

Producer/Director: Danny Braunstein | DOP: Stuart Luck

This short vignette doc on fashion blogger Susie Bubble was part of a series designed to promote the Doc Marten's #standforsomething campaign.

I took inspiration from Susie's cut-and-paste style for the edit, overlaying images taken from her social media pages and going for an Instagram filter style grade.

"run hide tell"

Foreign & commonwealth office / Nactso /abta

Public Information Campaign - Editor

Producer: Rebecca Denholm | Director: Jason Edwards | DOP: Stuart Luck

Part of a suite of three dramatisations of potential terror incidents, aimed at informing hotel and holiday rep staff of correct procedure during a terrorist incident. The films were subsequently re-purposed for the general public.

Watched more than 10 million times worldwide.

"Meral’s Story"

women without borders

Mini Documentary - Director/Editor

Producer: Amelia Wise | DOP: Liam Hall

Women without Borders is a global NGO that focuses on Preventing Violent Extremism, Capacity Building, Gender Based Violence, Female Leadership, and Intercultural Dialogue.

This is a one of a suite of three short vignette-doc films, shot in Macedonia, that illustrate the impact that Women without Borders’ unique MotherSchools are having in areas where there is a risk of youth radicalisation.

SKILLS & KIT

IMG_9584.JPG

I’m primarily a Premiere editor these days but cut my teeth on Avid.

I own a Canon R6 Mark II, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6k, lenses and full sound and lighting kit. I’ve shot extensively with various larger body Canon and Sony cameras over the years.

I have a fully-fledged edit suite with broadcast quality monitoring, RAID storage and a 1Gbps up/down fibre connection. Files sizes are no longer a factor.

Please get in touch for a
current kit list and rate card.
